Jasmine Polsinelli

Jasmine’s commitment to defending animals comes naturally. Raised in an environment that encourages speaking up for those who cannot speak for themselves, she believes change can’t happen if you remain silent about what you believe in. She attended her first protest at age 8, and stays committed to advocacy through participation and education. She helps her mother, an authorized wildlife rehabilitator, take care of infant and injured wildlife. Jasmine has been featured in many articles, the book Cat Heroes by Rob Laidlaw, and is the youngest person ever to be awarded a lifetime membership from AFPA. Her love for coyotes and desire to change peoples’ opinions of this misunderstood animal is the drive behind her current campaign to raise awareness about the inhumane practice of leg-hold and body-gripping traps and snares, and to ask large companies use cruelty-free products in their outdoor clothing. Her goal is to have a “fur-free Canada” by her 20th birthday.
