Giving Tuesday is almost here! This global movement is inspired by the endless generosity of so many kind-hearted people the world over. Friends and supporters, this year, we need vital rescue and safety supplies for our Canid Response Team members. Every dollar donated from now through Giving Tuesday until the end of November will be used to purchase items such as protective clothing and footwear to keep our team members safe at all hours, headlamps and lighting supplies for night rescue, specialized capture and extrication tools, and trail cameras to assist with active rescue cases.
Our two big wish list items for 2024 are for "real-time" trail cameras (SpyPoint, Tactacam, Muddy) that run on a monthly subscription - as the canid enters the secure location, we are able to respond immediately when the camera is triggered. Our second necessity for rescuing and saving wild lives is the "Thermal Imaging Camera" which allows us the ability to locate sick or injured animals that are hidden in difficult-to-see or access locations such as underneath a building, or behind a wall.
Our other critical outreach efforts involve the "Coexisting with Canids" door hanger campaign. Our effective, free resources and coexistence programs for the public reached over fifty communities across North America. Through your support during last year's Giving Tuesday campaign, we were able to mail out close to 5000 door hangers, saving countless wild lives and fostering compassionate coexistence between people and canids. This must-have free resource is used by government and public citizens alike.
Please support our need to raise $5000 so that our Canid Response Team can continue our coexistence programs; and conduct field investigations and rescue work safely and efficiently. We are grateful for every gift - big or small! For the cost of two coffees/month, you can become one of our contributing monthly donors. If you are not able to give this year you can still help in so many other meaningful ways by sharing our social media and talking about Coyote Watch Canada's work on behalf of coyotes, foxes and wolves with family and friends. Much gratitude for thinking of us this year!
